We are truly aware of the financial hardships felt by many over these last several months. Despite this difficult time, the Holy Spirit has moved one of our parishioners to help St. Peter’s pay off their debt.
Although this parishioner wishes to remain anonymous, they have made a very generous offer. They have challenged us to work together to raise enough money to pay off St. Peter’s mortgage of $86,800 by December 31, 2021. This benefactor has agreed to donate $50,000 if we are able to raise the remaining $36,800 by December 31, 2021.
We ask that you pray on this challenge and consider joining our effort to pay off our mortgage by the end of the year, no donation is too small. There will be no second collections for this cause. Regardless of your ability to assist financially, we ask for your prayers for our faith community.
If you are able to help us financially to achieve this goal, you can make your donation in a variety of ways:
~ You can drop your donation in the collection box at Mass in an envelope clearly marked “St. Peter’s Mortgage Challenge”
~ You can drop it by the office or mail to: St. Peter the Fisherman Church, 5001 County Road G, Eagle River, Wisconsin 54521.
~ You can also pay online at: https://stpeterseagleriver.weshareonline.org/
Since this challenge was presented, we have raised $16,600.
This leaves us with $20,200 to raise (as of October 12, 2021).
Thank you in advance for your generosity, and most importantly for your prayers.
