Strengthening Families Month

In many areas, April is promoted as “Child Abuse Prevention Month”,

but in Wisconsin we refer to it as “Strengthening Families Month”.

The Safe Environment office and the Office of Marriage and Family

are joining together to encourage families, parishes, Catholic schools,

and communities to help build strong and healthy families. Attached

you will find a calendar with a variety of family activities to share

with families in your parish or school. Going a step further, please

consider planning family activities such as a luncheon followed by

family games or a family friendly movie, open gym night, or a family

scavenger hunt. Have fun creating opportunities to encourage and

build strong, healthy family relationships within your parish!
