Job Title: Director of Religious Education
Location: Northern Lakes Catholic Communities

Position Summary:
The Northern Lakes Catholic Communities (NLCC) is seeking a faith-filled and organized
Director of Religious Education (DRE) to lead the planning, organization, and implementation of parish religious education and Catholic formation programs. In collaboration with the pastor, parish staff, and the Diocesan Department of Evangelization and Missionary Discipleship, the DRE plays a vital role in fulfilling the catechetical mission of our parishes.
This position offers the opportunity to accompany children, youth, and families on their journey of faith, helping to foster a vibrant, Christ-centered community.
Key Responsibilities:
Faith Formation & Religious Education Programs
• Develop and coordinate religious education programs for children and youth
• Recruit, train, and support catechists and volunteers
• Plan and oversee sacramental preparation
• Coordinate family faith formation events and retreats
• Foster a culture of discipleship rooted in the teachings of the Catholic Church
Collaboration & Communication
• Work closely with the pastor, parish staff, and diocesan personnel
• Communicate regularly with parents, volunteers, and the broader parish community
• Maintain student records and program documentation
• Utilize parish communication channels and social media for program promotion
Administrative & Support Duties
• Prepare calendars, schedules, and curriculum materials
• Monitor program budgets and supplies
• Ensure compliance with diocesan Safe Environment policies and training
Qualifications:
• A love for Jesus Christ and a desire to share the Catholic faith
• Willingness to work toward (or already possess) Advanced Religious Education Certification through the Diocese of Superior
• Completion of Diocesan Safe Environment Training (or willingness to complete upon hire)
• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and comfort with social media platforms
• Experience in catechetical ministry, teaching, or parish leadership preferred
• Ability to work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends
Wage: Hourly rate based on experience

Job Title: St. Theresa Thrift Store Manager
Location: Three Lakes, Wisconsin
Employment Type: Part-Time 15-20 hrs/week
Reports To: Northern Lakes Catholic Communities Pastor
Position Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated, organized, and community-minded individual to manage the daily operations of our nonprofit thrift store located in beautiful Three Lakes, Wisconsin. The St. Theresa thrift store manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the store's retail and donation operations, managing and scheduling volunteers, and ensuring an efficient, welcoming, and mission-aligned environment for customers, donors, and team members.
Key Responsibilities:
Store Operations & Retail Management:
- Oversee all day-to-day store functions including opening, closing, and ensuring the store is clean, safe, and well-organized.
- Monitor inventory levels, pricing, and merchandising to maximize sales and support the organization's mission.
- Manage the intake, sorting, pricing, and display of donated goods in a timely and organized manner.
- Maintain accurate records of sales, expenses, and inventory.
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies and safety regulations.
Volunteer Coordination:
- Recruit, train, schedule, and support a team of volunteers to assist with various store operations.
- Maintain an up-to-date volunteer schedule and ensure adequate coverage for all shifts.
- Foster a positive and inclusive environment that values volunteer contributions and promotes teamwork.
Customer Service & Community Engagement:
- Provide excellent customer service and represent the organization in a professional and friendly manner.
- Promote the store and its mission within the community through outreach and local partnerships.
- Address customer inquiries, feedback, or concerns in a timely and respectful way.
Financial & Administrative:
- Handle daily cash management, including register reconciliation and bank deposits.
- Assist with preparing monthly reports on sales, inventory, and volunteer hours.
- Work collaboratively with organizational leadership to set and achieve store goals.
Qualifications:
- Previous retail management or supervisory experience preferred.
- Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
- Experience working with or managing volunteers is highly desirable.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Comfortable with basic computer and point-of-sale (POS) systems.
- Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs and stand for extended periods.
Work Schedule:
- 15-20 hours per week, including weekends and occasional evenings as needed.
- Schedule may vary based on store needs and special events.
Compensation:
- Competitive hourly wage beginning at $18/hour
